Diamond In The Rough
I found this beauty sitting in a garage while walking the streets of Tilghman Island. Can any of you car enthusiasts tell me the year and model of this classic Volvo?
This photo is an HDR comprised of 3 shots, hand held, married in Photomatix, adjusted in Photoshop with the Topaz Adjust plug-in, then tweaked in Adobe Lightroom. That's a mouth full.

St. Michael's and Tilghman Island, Maryland
Spent last Saturday night in the quaint town of St. Michael, Maryland, celebrating a belated anniversary with my wife. Tried to get some shootin in but the remnants of Hurricane Bill poured buckets on us and it was pretty much a wash out. This Church was the only thing I managed to come up with in St. Michael at about 11:00 at night after the rain had stopped.
We seemed to enjoy exploring Tilghman Island much more. Lots to see. Beautiful old Harbors with all varieties of oyster boats including vintage Skipjacks. Lots to shoot and a laid back place to visit.

Mike
Is it Dinero or Pacino? Mike Pope is my wife's Uncle, my kid's Great Uncle, and good friend. Born and raised in Chicago he is your classic proud Italian American. Retired after serving years on the bench as a judge, Mike now enjoys the good life between his home in Chicago and his weekender in Wisconsin.
Sometimes you see a face and you know its someone you'd like to photograph. I finally got the opportunity, talked him into sitting for me, and ....he likes it.

Lucky #7
Seamus' 6 brothers and sisters welcomed him to his new home last Saturday. He is a healthy and happy little boy and very loved. Will he be the last of the Glass Grandchildren? Only time will tell. It will be fun to watch him grow. His eldest cousin Brian is due to wed on Oct 3. Maybe Seamus can be the ring bearer!

17 Years of Wedded Bliss
Yesterday my wife and I celebrated 17 years of marriage. Of course my first thought was where have the years gone? We have three beautiful boys, a nice home, many wonderful nephews, nieces, and in-laws, our parents are still living happy full lives, and we live in a great community and parish here in Vienna, Virginia. What more could we ask? Even though it seems we are at the height of our busy lives, we still know how to have fun, laugh, and love. And we are way cooler than our kids think we are :) I love you Laura. Happy Anniversary.
What will the next 17 bring?

Welcome Seamus Patrick Patterson
Seamus was born to my baby sister Eileen and husband Andrew yesterday just after 3:00 in the afternoon at Fairfax Hospital in Annandale Va. He joins a growing list of grandchildren to my parents Pat and Ben. Number 24....I think. He is the seventh child for Eileen.
A little know fact was that Eileen and Andrew shared their birth experience with their 6 other children who were home watching via the internet. How times have changed. Congratulations!
